Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage in APS6 Communications and Engagement Business Partners branch Procurement and Contracts for a 12-month assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD.

About the Team

The Communications and Engagement Business Partners Branch provides engagement and communication solutions and advice to support the NDIA to deliver the NDIS.

The branch lead development and implementation of multi-channel engagement and communication strategies to support key initiatives across the NDIA and drive engagement with key internal and external audiences.

About the Role

The APS6 Communications and Engagement Business Partners is a team membership position that may be required to perform work that involves team leadership and management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team.

The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions.

The APS6 Communications and Engagement Business Partners is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA's objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".

The position will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It is required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch/division/NDIA.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to a team delivering timely, innovative, efficient and evidence-based communications and engagement strategies, plans, content and activities that support NDIA Corporate Plan objectives.
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring targeted communication and engagement plans.
  • Managing internal and external communications and engagement channels to support business areas reach their intended audiences.
  • Utilising reporting metrics to review the impact of communication and engagement approaches, identifying areas of overlap and key gaps to refine and improve plans and strategies.
  • Implementing a communications and engagement business partnering model within the NDIA, guiding the team with best practice to provide advice, quality assurance and support to business areas to meet their communication objectives.
  • Contributing to a strategic and nationally consistent approach for the Agency, managing public facing communications and engagement and supporting approaches that leverage best practice.
  • Implementing a communications and engagement business partnering model and producing content for communication channels and platforms including NDIS website, Ministerial and Executive Briefings, event materials and social media.
  • Coordinating delivery across the division including capturing feedback, measuring effectiveness of activities and strategies, including identifying associated risks and trends.

Key skills required for role

Experience in making numbers and statistics easy to understand and experience writing about economics/business topics.

What's on Offer?

  • Position located in Adelaide
  • APS6 $58.50/ph + super
  • Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
  • Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
