The APS6 Business Analyst (Digital Division is responsible for undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the Agency. The successful candidate will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the Agency’s objectives.

About the role:
The APS6 Business Analyst (Digital Division is responsible for undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the Agency. The successful candidate will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the Agency’s objectives.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Document Business Analyst artefacts including Epics, User Stories, User Interface requirements, current state versus future state process maps.
- Facilitate workshops with other stakeholders, Business Analysts, User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) Designers and technology teams.
- Develop and maintain subject matter expertise across new systems and processes within the Agency.
- Identify potential issues or risks, tracking problems, recommending alternatives, and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Support business continuity analysis, testing, design, implementation and validation activities
- Support product end users including responding to feedback, collecting evidence of a defect, organising testing or other activities.
- Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
- Experience in coordinating and assisting in the management of complex cases
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- Works withing an agile product development team to create products of value to people with disability and their careers.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to identify and communicate requirements
- Stakeholder engagement skills – ability to align stakeholders
- Analytical skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience using JIRA and confluence.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- The Agency Worker Screening Check. This is only applicable to some positions within the Agency that require the occupant to have access to classified Australian Government information.
- Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
- Salesforce experience
- Preferable prior knowledge and experience in disability and public sector
What you will bring to the role:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
