Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Business Analyst on a contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Position Overview
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Undertake discovery and analysis planning activities, including current and future state analysis.
  • Develop detailed business requirements, process maps, user journeys, and service design artefacts to document the business needs of the Support at Home and Single Assessment System reforms.
  • Lead, conduct and participate in stakeholder engagements, requirement elicitation and solution co-design workshops.
  • Execute and manage business requirement change processes as required.
  • Support and provide input to delivery partners solution design, build and test activities to ensure direction reflects business needs.
  • Support and undertake delivery of other ICT enablement activities and deliverables including but not limited to business validation and testing, input on change/transition artefacts, data analysis, user experience design, user research, development of business cases and supporting cabinet submissions etc.
  • Work collaboratively with project team, IT delivery partner agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Undertake relevant activities to support delivery of project outcomes as required.

Capabilities Required:
  • Prior experience in undertaking business analysis, leading and conducting requirement gathering and solution workshops, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to think analytically, innovatively and practically about ways that business needs can be enabled by systems to assist the organisation.
  • Ability to synthesise analysis into meaningful outcomes and communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan/manage activities and deliver outcomes within established project timeframes.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and conducting workshops, experience in preparing a range of written materials and documentation, and tailoring messages and style to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve results to meet program objectives within tight timeframes.
  • Ability to develop and foster strong interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Mandatory Requirements:
