Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Assessment Officer on a contract for 3 months.
Position Overview
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to an Assistant Director the responsibilities will be:
  • Assess applications and consider intelligence and make recommendations to Assistant Directors
  • Liaise and collaborate in relation to information and intelligence to support the assessments and subsequent drafting of advice
  • Seek guidance and advice as required to support the assessment activities
Essential requirements:
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to exercise good judgement, identify priorities and discriminate between options based on limited information and intelligence.
  • Experience in an assessment role.
  • Capacity to work in a busy environment, successfully handling competing priorities and manage own workload.
  • Report writing and communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and interact in an effective way and communicate information coherently and concisely to audiences with a range of backgrounds to ensure clarity.
