Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage APS5 Strategy Officer for a 12 month assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD
About the Team
The Strategy Branch develops and delivers highly complex and significant outcomes, projects and work programs that have strategic and operational impact to the Agency in delivering better experiences and outcomes for participants. It is responsible for addressing critical issues of Agency impact including leading Agency-wide teams and integrating multiple perspectives to solve Agency issues. The branch ensures priorities and solutions are transitioned into action, for delivery by the relevant implementation group.
About the Role
The APS5 Strategy Officer (Labour Hire) is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The position will be required to provide detailed technical, policy and operational support and advice. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to NDIA’s objectives to “build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme”.
The APS5 Strategy Officer (Labour Hire) will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to senior executive to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

- Minimum of one year in strategy development
- Experience contributing to strategic projects that deliver insightful and actionable recommendations
- Experience working in complex cross-functional teams
- Emotional intelligence in working with stakeholders
- Experience applying the above skillset in a disability service environment will be highly regarded
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Gathering and developing structured insights and recommendations to address complex problems within strategic projects.
- Drafting components of materials for internal and external stakeholders to communicate perspectives, recommendations, and implications for the Agency.
- Presenting recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of Agency stakeholders and leadership.
- Assisting and supporting regular strategy reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Supporting the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Supporting stakeholder event preparation and logistics (including but not limited to setting meetings, distributing correspondences, developing communication products, development of meeting minutes, and providing procedural and administrative support to senior staff).
- Supporting desktop research and review, conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, and develop content briefs to support project deliverables.

- Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
- Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
