Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5/6 Content Designer on a contract for 12 months with 2x12 months extension option.

Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5/6 Content Designer on a contract for 12 months with 2x12 months extension option.
Position Overview
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design content in line with the agency’s content strategy to meet user needs and business objectives.
- Analyse user stories, design content flows, and create simple and helpful content. Make content recommendations to address user issues and needs.
- Participate in Agile projects. Use Agile principles to create, test, improve and iterate content.
- Implement the agency’s content strategy. Consistently apply our editorial style, including plain English.
- Administration, gatekeeping, and publishing requests. Ongoing streamlining and improvement of processes.
- Build relationships across the agency. Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Advocate for users in your content design work.
- Provide guidance to junior content designers.
- Strong content design skills.
- An understanding of service design. Experience designing content that’s accessible, discoverable, usable, and inclusive.
- Strategic and analytical thinking capability. Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and use user data, journey maps and research reports.
- Excellent task planning and prioritisation skills. Comfortable working with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and goals.
- Experience working in an Agile project. Experience using agile tools and processes.
- Strong experience working effectively and cooperatively with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to make swift evidence-based decisions using common sense judgement and ethical decision making.
- Leadership skills and ability to assist peers and mentor other team members.
