Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Program Officer on a section 26 transfer, or a non-going contract for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Position Overview
We are seeking a program officer who:
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
  • Has the ability to contribute towards achieving program and policy outcomes within the required timeframe. 
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is able to critically analyse information and contribute towards solving problems, including understanding legislative requirements.
  • Has expertise in one or all of the following:         
  • Law/accounting/finance
  • Program and contract management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
  • Contribute towards the delivery of a broad range of venture capital programs.
  • Work with key internal and external stakeholders on complex issues relating to the administration of venture capital programs.
  • Ensure program compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks.  
  • Liaise with program fund managers on fund requests and compliance with program guidelines and directions.
  • Assess committee papers to ensure they meet legislative requirements and guidelines.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
