About the role:
The APS5 Policy Officer - Younger People in Residential Aged Care (YPIRAC) will provide detailed administrative, professional, policy, operational support, coordination and advice in relation to complex problems. You will be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. You will have a considerable level of contact in relation to complex or sensitive issues. It will also be required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing draft written material including executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Developing project resources to support executive attendance at governance forums including implementation plans, project reports, formal briefs and presentations.
  • Engaging with external and internal stakeholders to progress implementation of YPIRAC Strategy actions. Undertaking various administrative functions including management of the team's inbox.
  • Performing research and analysis activities to provide innovative solutions to business problems.
  • Providing advice regarding the YPIRAC Strategy and implementation plan to a range of audiences.
  • Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience within a similar role; Government experience is preferable but not essential.
  • An understanding of CRMs and software applications
  • Understands Quality Frameworks and their purpose.
  • Can interpret data into meaningful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
