Chandler Macleod is currently recruiting for an experienced APS5 Communications and Engagement Officer to join a leading Federal Government agency. This is an Ongoing or Non-Ongoing position, temporary to the end of financial year 2023 with an option to extend and based in Sydney CBD.

Role description:
In this position, you will be required to perform but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • Work in a team to consider governance arrangements to support evaluation of digital services.
  • Support engagement to connect work of the branch to other teams and input to the Investment Oversight Framework (IOF) and Data and Digital Government Strategy (DDGS).
  • Support stakeholder engagement across government to develop artefacts and support the authority for upcoming digital service submissions (including the myGov User Audit response).
  • Develop visual artefacts to communicate effectively to the Executive, Ministers and other stakeholders.
  • Support the branch with other ad hoc requests required from the Executive to contribute to the establishment of the branch.

About You
To be successful in this position, you will need to have experience in the following:
  • Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to build productive, long-term relationships and communicate effectively with people at high levels in government and non-government organisations, the press, the community and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to anticipate and prioritise deadlines and timeframes
  • Ability to build open and honest and positive relationships across the organisation to enable the production and coordination of community information; and 
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be an Australian citizen.
