Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 & APS6 HR Strategy Officer on a Non ongoing contract for 12 months or Section 26 transfers.

Position Overview

About the Role:
The HR Strategy role will see you use your strategic thinking, curiosity, and creativity to design the approaches we will use to bridge the gap between where our workforce is today and where it needs to be tomorrow. You will work with colleagues to drive the implementation of our strategies and measure their impact.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for:
  • developing a range of workforce strategies (including our People Strategy) and plans, as well as projects and initiatives to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • performing research and analyzing data and using excellent judgment to make decisions.
  • undertaking environmental scanning to understand and monitor issues inside and outside the department, and wider APS.
  • developing and writing strategy papers, plans and briefs to a high standard.
  • contributing to the management, delivery and monitoring of projects – including evaluating and measuring their impact.
  • building team capacity through coaching, performance feedback and career development.

  • Project delivery, including large agency-wide projects or those which require collaboration across teams
Desirable:
  • Qualifications and/experience in HR, workforce strategy or planning, organization design, change and culture or other related areas would be desirable.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Applicants should be eligible to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance at a minimum and NV1 Security Clearance where required by the agency.
