About the Organization:
Our Federal Government client is looking for a Program Support officer due to an influx of work within a friendly and collaborative team. An independent service and government agency of the Commonwealth, we are seeking candidates for a 4 month contract with a potential extension. There are a total of 3 positions available in the Geelong office.

About the role:

The APS4 Program Support is a team membership position that will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex inquiries.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
· Performing basic research, analysis and manipulation of data to enable accurate reporting and assist in the development, collation and dissemination of regular reports.
· Coordinating and analysing data and written information for drafting and input into branch level communications and/or high-level internal communications including reports.
· Assisting with collation and audits of workforce planning data, reporting on staff lifecycle and confirming against financial, systems and people performance data, surveys and asset management.
· Assisting in the delivery of projects under the direction of higher classification levels.
· Provide business administration and operational support to the branch across the staff lifecycle and knowledge, performance and financial management portfolios.

Your key skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
    Working with children's check (active or willing to obtain)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working within disability sector highly regarded
  • Ability to work from home with a good home work set up
  • High degree of professionalism, accuracy, and high standard of work
  • Collaborative approach to working in a team whilst also confident to work autonomously
  • Ability to show empathy in the face of complex requirements
  • Confident to manage challenging conversations and behaviours
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise reasonable organisational skills to manage day
