About the role:
The APS4 Legal Services is a team membership position that will provide operational and administrative support and may undertake some research and analysis activities. The APS4 Legal Services will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.


  • Reviewing and processing invoices.
  • Managing the legal invoices email inbox.
  • Coordinating recording and reporting of legal accounts.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly expenditure reports, accruals and budgets.
  • Assisting with corporate credit card transactions and conciliations.
  • Managing the payment of legal disbursements including witness reports, barrister fees and working with other legal and non-legal vendors.
  • Responding to accounts related queries as a key contact for external firms and clients.
  • Providing administrative support for the branch, including on-boarding of external lawyers, ordering assets and organising access.
  • Assisting in preparing executive reports (financial and non-financial), Company Searches and other legal administrative functions.
  • Assisting lawyers with CPD requirements, such as booking training, travel and processing payments.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience within a similar role; Government experience is preferable but not essential.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning and efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
