About the Organization:

Our client is an independent service who is seeking skilled operations and housing support officers for a contract until the end of financial year 2022

About the role:

The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex inquiries.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

. Reviewing, assessing and approving participant's plans and schedule reviews and facilitate payments

  • Assessing, reviewing and providing feedback on decisions in accordance with the companies Act, Rules and Legislation
  • Undertaking record keeping activities, including adhering to process guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Researching and reviewing decisions regarding cases and managing moderately complex cases with the assistance of senior staff
  • Providing support and mentoring to enhance team development and decision making
  • Monitoring and analysing quality outcomes and results to identify trends
  • Supporting the leadership team to develop and implement improvement strategies.
  • Work with stakeholders to promote services and functions, and build stakeholder knowledge of planning decision making and procedures.

    Your key skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesise and apply legislation
  • Experience within an auditing environment
  • Experience working within disability sector highly regarded
  • Ability to work from home with a good home work set up
  • High degree of professionalism, accuracy, and high standard of work
  • Collaborative approach to working in a team whilst also confident to work autonomously
  • Ability to show empathy in the face of complex requirements
  • Confident to manage challenging conversations and behaviours
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise reasonable organisational skills to manage day
