Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a APS4 Learning Programs Officer on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.
Role Overview
The Learning Program Officer role is required to undertake tasks of a moderately complex nature and operate under general direction. They will provide their expertise and knowledge for the delivery of the functions of APS Academy.
The Learning Program Officer role is responsible for:
- Supporting the delivery of programs to build priority APS capabilities, working in partnership with APS policy owners, subject matter experts, capability experts, team members and external learning providers
- Building rapport and maintaining internal and external relationships, provide advice to stakeholders and colleagues using establish policy and procedures
- Resolving issues, conducting research and performing high level services
- Managing correspondence, including monitoring of in/out trays, monitoring emails and responding promptly
- Collating and following-up of information and tracking of high-volume activity to ensure deadlines are met
- Contributing to and monitoring information resources, e.g. procedure processes and documents
- Contributing new ideas and maximising the benefits of change, including the identification of opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes
- Adhering to workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and effective workplace environments and acting in accordance with the APS Values and Behaviours
Key Skills and Knowledge
- A learning mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
- Attention to details and strong administration skills
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters
- An understanding of the impact of the work area on strategic or operational outcomes for the Academy work program
- Experience in learning and development or program management administration (desirable)
- Qualifications: Certificate III or equivalent experience
