About the role:
The APS4 Junior Investigator will work within the fraud Investigations team, conducting internal and external fraud investigations.
Some duties may include:

  • Assist with tasks to progress investigations for criminal prosecution
  • Provide consistent and reliable technical support across full investigation functions
  • Analyse documents, data and other information and provide support to investigators
  • Conduct interviews/enquiries to obtain and verify information and data
  • Identify issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of decisions and activities using Excel, iBase and CRM based system products.

About you:

Ideally you will have relevant education and experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations, as well as:

  • Fully vaccinated to be able to work in the office
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Government (Investigations)
  • Possess or the ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance with Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated experience in applying compliance standards and practices and/or experience in the conduct of criminal investigations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation
  • Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, and to work collaboratively within a team
  • Can synthesise and analyse information in making decisions, employing attention to detail
