About the branch
- The Capability and Employment (C&E) Branch sits within the department’s Operations Division and is responsible for strategic and operational focused human resources (HR) advice and support services, to support business areas in meeting their workforce needs.

- The People Support and Inclusion team are the front door to HR, early intervention and rehabilitation, probation and performance and Diversity and Inclusion. We collaborate with all areas of the department to bring a cohesive and inclusive culture to the work we do.
- People Support team - work to provide proactive steps to non-workers compensation and compensation case through rehabilitation. Probation and performance provide the department framework.
- HR Help team - work to reduce the duplication of HR matters as a dedicated triage and escalation point. The team assists the department with all HR enquiries across the various HR functions.
- Inclusion team - work to build the departments diversity and inclusion space and actively collaborate with the department employee networks.

You will have demonstrated experience in operating and delivering HR functions in a high profile and impactful environment.
Requirements for the position:
- Undertake administrative work to support high quality service delivery, data collection and record keeping
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and customer service focus – you understand that the customer is at the centre of service delivery and strategy development
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Key organisational ability, good professional judgement and sound interpersonal skills
- A proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and the ability to work autonomously when needed
- The ability to use sound judgement and discretion to escalate HR queries to the responsible supervisor when needed
- Is committed to building your own cultural and disability competency.
What you will do
As a HR Advisor within the People Support team you will:
- Provide triage support to the People Support function (including, but not limited to, HR Help and Rehabilitation)
- Provide advice on general HR enquiries and interpretation of, employee relations policy and legislation
- Review and process Workstation Assessment requests for employees
- Review and process end of month invoicing, including journal administration
- Provide assistance with monthly reporting of People Support and Inclusion
- Other ad-hoc HR tasks as required for the People Support and Inclusion function
- Experience or knowledge in HR customer service environment is desible, but not required.

- APS4 ($72,002 to $78,386) depending on skills and experience
- 12 month Ongoing and Non-Ongoing positions
- Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
