Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Executive Assistant on a contract for 12 to 18 months with potential extension.

About the Team:

The Risk Advisory Branch supports the Agency to assess and manage risks. The branch supports risk owners to identify and manage risks inherent in their operating activities and strategic initiatives. They develop controls to mitigate risks and facilitate improved risk awareness and training, reporting on emerging risk profiles and trends.

About the Role:

The APS4 Executive Assistant supports the Risk Advisory Branch leadership, and is accountable under general direction to undertake moderately complex activities and tasks within established procedures and guidance. It will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Completing operational and/or administrative tasks of moderate complexity or difficulty.
  • Diary and email management, responding to changing priorities and timeframes.
  • Preparing replies to correspondence, briefing material and handling confidential papers.
  • Scheduling meetings and preparing documentation for committees and projects.
  • Undertaking research and investigations as requested.
  • Coordinating official meetings, travel arrangements and official functions on behalf of the branch, Regional Manager, and other Agency staff.
  • Providing high level administrative support on personnel and financial matters within the Agency.
  • Supporting the drafting of written communications and managing documents and databases.
  • Participating in project management work as directed, supporting the delivery of work priorities.

Key skills required for the role:

  • Experience in an EA/PA or similar support role
  • Experience in a government role is highly regarded
  • Strong administration/coordination support experience
  • Very strong calendar management and coordination skills

Mandatory: Australian Citizenship required to work within Federal Government.
