About the role:

The APS4 Executive Assistant (Claims and Payments Branch) is accountable under general direction to undertake moderately complex activities and tasks within established procedures and guidance. It will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders. It is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility.


This is a Cross-Agency position that may work within any branch in the Agency.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
 
  • Complete operational and administrative tasks of moderate complexity or difficulty.
  • Diary and email management.
  • Prepare replies to correspondence, briefing material and handling confidential papers.
  • Schedule meetings and preparing documentation for committees and projects.
  • Undertake research and investigations as requested.
  • Coordinate official meetings, travel arrangements and official functions on behalf of the branch, Regional Manager, and other Agency staff.
  • Provide high level administrative support on personnel and financial matters within the Agency.
 
MANDATORY
  • Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in organizing, assessment and case management via telephone.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one.

  • Financial acumen
