About the role:
In this position you will work to effectively manage the intake and assessment of AAT matters and associated correspondence, including collation and filing of Tribunal documents within statutory timeframes. You will also collaborate with Case Managers within the branch, drafting documents and processes to assist in progressing Applications to early resolution, conciliation and hearing.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Receiving and registering new AAT matters.
  • Actioning and directing correspondence.
  • Analysing and assessing AAT Applications received.
  • Preparing and filing Tribunal documents as required for AAT Applications received by the AAB within strict time frames.
  • Assessing and responding to risk from processes, including in terms of privacy considerations and priority.
  • Organising assessments to support the decision-making process for case managers.

    What you will bring to the role:
  • Previous experience within a similar role; Government experience is preferable but not essential.
  • You need resilience and the ability to handle difficult and confronting information
  • You must have compassion and empathy towards your customers
  • Experience in preparing documents that explain a position under legislation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
