Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage APS4 Administration/ BSO for a contract for 12 months with potential extension in St Marys.

About the Team

The Complex Support Needs Branch provides specialised support for people with disability with additional complexity due to situational and personal factors. Roles within the branch may sit within the following teams:

Position Description for: APS4 Business Support Officer

  • Complex Support Needs: supports participants who are in the Complex Support Needs Pathway.
  • YPIRAC: supports delivery of the government's Younger People in Residential Aged Care
  • (YPIRAC) Action Plan.
  • Children and Young People: provides support to children with disability who currently reside
  • outside of the family home in full time or part time voluntary arrangements acknowledged by the relevant state or territory.
  • Liaison: provides support nationally to Health and Justice system staff, to improve communication
  • between state systems and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  • Operations: Provides a range of operational support to all teams in the branch, including triage and workflow of participants through the CSN pathway.

About the Role

The APS4 Business Support Officer is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. It will apply well-established policy, principles, practices and procedures to achieve outcomes that supports and contributes to Agency's objectives to "build a worldleading National Disability Insurance Scheme".

The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge and may undertake some research and analysis activities.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking research and contributing to reports.
  • Assisting planners to research support options available for participants.
  • Coordinating and organising executive meetings and community forums.
  • Responding to enquiries and providing guidance to participants.
  • Receiving, analysing and accurately recording complaints and other feedback.
  • Managing team inbox and appointment/calendar systems.

(NOTE: the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time)

What's on Offer?

  • Position located in St Mary's
  • APS4 $42.54/ph + super
  • Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
  • Standard Hours or work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
