Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Administration Officer on a contract for 3 months.
Position Overview
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to an Assistant Director, the main responsibilities will be:
  • Providing administrative support to a team of assessors, including support needed for meetings, calendar arrangements and scribing.
  • Assisting a Business Support Officer to maintain business processes to ensure accurate recording of application data and advice to the Department, and efficiently manage information flow between the Department and Commission.
  • Working in a virtual environment in a team that works in office locations across Australia.
Requirements of the role:
  • Strong experience in providing administrative support services
  • Proficiency in ICT systems such as Microsoft e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams or similar.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, initiative and flexibility to manage a workload and perform under pressure.
  • The ability to quickly understand new processes to support the Exemption Team.
  • Ability to be flexible and work within a team to meet deadlines and ensure work is delivered against Commission objectives.
  • The ability to act professionally and display the behaviours in accordance with the APS Values and Code of Conduct.
