About the role:

The APS4 Administration Officer (Complex Support Needs Branch) will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. It will apply well-established policy, principles, practices and procedures to achieve outcomes that supports and contributes to Agency’s objectives. You may have a public contact role and may be required to communicate with and provide straightforward advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will be part of the Younger People in Residential Aged Care (YPIRAC) team. This team is part of the newly formed YPIRAC/Hospital Interface Branch. The YPIRAC team provides specialised support for people with disability who are living in, or at risk of permanently entering aged care facilities.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Organise the team email inbox, calendars and appointments, responding to team priorities and timeframes.
  • Research and respond to general enquiries and analysing documents and data.
  • Coordinate and prepare meeting minutes and papers.
  • Support the drafting of written communications and managing documents and databases.
  • Receive, analyse and record complaints and feedback.
  • Organise travel and finance reconciliation.
  • Participate in project management work as directed, supporting the delivery of work priorities
  • Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong engagement with multiple stakeholders
  • Organisation and time management
  • Experience in the disability, health or aged care sectors
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • The Agency Worker Screening Check. This is only applicable to some positions within the Agency that require the occupant to have access to classified Australian Government information.
  • Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
