The duties of the role:
The position is an operational role requiring strong organisational skills, executive writing and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. There will be a need to understand the relationships across the organisation as they apply to market development, and to support broader inter-governmental and inter-agency cooperation and collaboration.

  • Maintain a schedule of quarterly meetings, including secretariat, document management and attendees;
  • Coordinate and manage actions from meetings, working across the NDIA as needed;
  • Monitor and drive alignment between the state and territory work plans and the broader multilateral work plan;
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and collaborative relationships with external stakeholders;
  • Draft and coordinate papers for meetings with support from relevant subject matter experts; and
  • Draft briefs and reports for the Board, Committees and Executive Management.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management (or a related discipline) is highly desirable
  • Experience in project management is essential
  • Experience in the Public Sector is highly desirable
  • You will demonstrate flexibility and resilience and embrace the challenges of working in a complex and changing environment
  • A strong understanding, or ability to quickly develop an understanding, of government processes
  • Exceptional analytical and written communication skills
  • A high degree of initiative, strong organisational skills and the capability to manage effectively in a fast-paced working environment
