About the Team:
The Executive and Corporate Communications team provides strategic advice, support and content development for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to support their internal and external communication and engagement activity. Through effective management and ongoing improvement of the Agency's corporate communication channels, the team also supports the delivery by ensuring the Agency's staff and partners are informed and participants, providers, and the broader sector receive up to date information.

About the Role:
The APS5 Executive and Corporate Communications Officer will undertake specialist, technical, research, policy and analysis activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes to the agency's objectives.

The position is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation. The APS5 Executive and Corporate Communications Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the development and production of communications materials, in consultation with internal stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing communication activities to ensure employees have access to information delivered across a variety of channels.
  • Ensuring all communication materials are accessible and align with the agency's style and brand guidelines.
  • Producing content for use across a variety of internal and external channels including newsletters, the agency intranet, website and talking points for staff and partners, and assisting in the delivery of content.
  • Managing correspondence through team inboxes, including actioning requests or triaging requests to relevant team members for action.

  • Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy
