Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS 5 Compliance Assurance Officer on a contract until June 2021, with potential extension.

Position Overview
The Regulatory Compliance Branch undertakes clients regulatory compliance activities, including intelligence, investigations, compliance and complaints management. The branch also manage stakeholder education and engagement as it relates to compliance functions.

Specific duties include:

  • Review therapeutic goods advertising to ascertain compliance with the legislation following compliance actions. Document and report on outcomes.
  • Undertake advertising compliance cases where necessary and appropriate.
  • Assist with preparation of compliance documents including briefs and quarterly and annual reports.
  • Prepare stakeholder correspondence on compliance issues.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Participate in IT redevelopment activities including user research, collaborative design of reports and other improvements to the IT system.

    Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in assessing compliance with legislation in a regulatory context, and reporting on analysis and outcomes.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with experience in using IT software (in particular Word and Excel).
  • Strong assessment and problem resolution skills with experience in using IT analytical tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in a small team. Highly organised and able to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • Good attention to details and timeframes required.
  • Motivated, engaged, flexible and resilient.
