Our client is seeking to engage a Regional Real Estate and Common Services Manager at their Rhodes, NSW office in a permanent fulltime role.
Position Overview
This position is part of the Global Real Estate & General Services group.
The role of APAC Regional Real Estate and Common Services Manager will be responsible for employee safety and health compliance issues, environmental compliance, and physical security across Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, and China. The role requires the candidate to work with all Business Units to provide specialised ESH&S/subject matter expertise leadership and coordination. This role will provide wide-ranging and cross-functional application knowledge; encouraging others to consider innovative alternatives and contributes to business strategy. Sets and directs action plans. Understands functional concepts and drives for results.
In addition, this role will provide Facility Management Support for offices in Canberra and Sydney (Rhodes), Australia as well as Wellington, New Zealand.
The candidate will be a central point of management and implementation, prepared to be involved at an individual and team level, to proactively identify opportunities to support safe and secure working practices. The overall objective of this position is to drive an improvement in ESH&S performance through the development, deployment and coordination of processes, policies, and tasks necessary for the implementation of a best practice ESH&S management system.
The position has day-to-day responsibilities for all ESH&S and Facility related activities and may manage external resources.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the ESH Management System in the areas of –
- Work Related Injury and Incident Management
- Training and Awareness
- Employee Issues
- Risk Management
- Effectively implement ESH Management System
- Improve the provision and quality of ESH information available to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure appropriate ESH contracted resources are identified, instructed, training and managed to allow for the effective management of ESH across all sites where staff are located.
- Improve the Implementation of Risk Management practices
- Ensure compliance with emergency preparedness obligations.
- Identify potential hazards and health implications associated with existing and emerging technologies and practises.
- Implement a system of reporting that improves the capacity of senior leadership to effectively fulfil their ESH responsibilities.
- Establish a clear set of accountabilities and responsibilities for senior management regarding ESH.
- Raise awareness of ESH performance.
- Provide leadership to all levels of the organisation regarding ESH
- Build and promulgate a culture of safety throughout the organisation.
- Develop a reputation for credibility regarding ESH advice, response, and guidance to the organisation.
- Technical competency – ESH&S Management: understanding of workplace/occupational health, safety, environment and security theory, law, rules, regulations, risk management and compliance, practices, hazard management and systems. ISO 45000 experience in developing and implementing a certified Health and Safety Management System Security: understanding of Lenel access control and video surveillance systems and programming, physical security operations and procedures
- Flexibility – can manage a variety of tasks and projects, operate in a business environment prone to high and rapid change.
- Problem Solving – can critically evaluate information via a factual approach, with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Intermediate to advanced competence with Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Access, and SharePoint.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in ESH management, with an emphasis on the integration of risk management and associated control measures in an office/work from home environment and in support of Field Engineering at client sites.
- Working knowledge of Australia and New Zealand Occupational/Work Health and Safety Legislation.
- Proven experience in the implementation and maintenance of Safety Management Systems ISO 45000.
- Qualification in OHS/ESH and/or Environment studies at the degree or minimum diploma level.
- Safety Management Representative Qualifications and/or Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety Officer
- Security Lenel Certifications in access control and video surveillance are desirable, but not required
