We are seeking a Senior Communications Officer for a Government client in Ipswich, QLD.

About the role:

  • You will be working in partnership with the creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
  • You will support the delivery of communication strategies and activities
  • You will be managing the internal communications program of the department
  • You will be managing and coordinating the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate and digital communications to support organisational objectives
  • You will be developing a range of internal and external communication materials and collateral including website content, news items, social media content, website content, parliamentary and ministerial correspondence and reporting and presentations
  • You will be Co-ordinating stakeholder engagement activities and events.
  • You will be Support the development and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships and government stakeholders, including the use of stakeholder engagement tools and reporting
  • You will be managing the organisation's website, intranet and social media

About you:

  • You will have Digital communications experience, including social media and website management.
  • You will have the ability to translate data and analysis into accessible messaging and products
  • You will have prior experience in leading the development of strategic communications
  • You will have strong writing and attention to detail and be able to write for a variety of channels and audiences.
  • You will be highly organised and able to manage the production and distribution of communications materials
  • You will have the ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment and deliver high quality results
  • You will have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and experience in responding to enquiries, establishing and managing stakeholder relationships
  • You will have prior experience in leading the development of strategic communications
