The Transformation Office, Queensland Corrective Services (QCS), is responsible for leading the planning and delivery of QCS’ reform agenda. We enable and support the delivery of transformational change to drive organisation performance and strategic outcomes. Our work is interesting, diverse, and often fast-paced.
As a key team in the Transformation Office, the Portfolio Change Group is an important business function that helps our colleagues successfully deliver their projects by providing critical change management, stakeholder engagement and communication services.
Within this Group, the Advisor, Communications, is responsible for effectively supporting transformation communications activities and working collaboratively with the Transformation Communications Team to develop and disseminate consistent, accurate and timely internal change messaging.
About the role:
You will showcase your natural artistic flair and sound creative judgement to develop materials for various audiences and channels and help to develop and implement integrated communication strategies and plans that highlight the work being performed across QCS’ reform programs and projects.
This will be a busy, hands-on role that relies heavily on your excellent writing and editing skills and ability to apply these to a range of channels, including email broadcasts, intranet and website content, presentations, speaking points, infographics, and newsletters.

To be a success in this role you will need to be able to engage with colleagues in a way that develops strong working relationships that achieve results.
Your experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating internal communication, change and engagement strategies and activities will help the team to be an exceptional communications partner across the business.
You will need solid skills in Word and PowerPoint, high level attention to detail and the ability to write quickly and accurately to transform complex information into plain English content and clever graphics tailored for a range of audiences and channels.
