Chandler Macleod have teamed up with a leading state government agency to find Victoria's best Child Protection Officers for a variety of Senior specialised opportunities.

Advanced Child Protection Officer

As an advanced Child Protection Officer you will play a key role in receiving and assessing reports of alleged abuse and neglect of children and young people.

You will undertake investigations and plans to ensure the safety and improvement of circumstances for these children.

Your duties will include:

  • Critical risk assessment and analysis, case review and reporting
  • Stakeholder engagement with a focus on collaboration to ensure best solutions are found for Children
  • Problem solving approach to results, with a focus on culturally informed and safe methods of work
  • Leadership in guiding children, families and stakeholders through the child protection assessment and decision making process

What you will bring to the role:

  • A Social Work Degree or Equivalent OR a recognised Diploma of Community Services Work or Similar that involved fieldwork placement is a mandatory requirement of this role
  • You will have applied knowledge in childhood development, risks and support
  • An understanding on the relevant legislative frameworks around Child Youth and Families Act
  • Proven experience in child support, social work or family related counselling services
  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident and be eligible to clear a national police and working with childrens check
