Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Administrative Support Officers on a contract for 3 months with potential extension.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Triage of incoming telephone and email enquiries.
  • Providing quality advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain data on teamwork items (via Microsoft Excel, OneNote and TRIM);
  • Identifying and referring complex enquiries to relevant regulatory and/or business areas
  • Identification and implementation of business process and system improvements.
  • Drafting of high-level minutes, letters and email correspondence.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures; and
  • Support the team in other functions as required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Their experience managing stakeholder/ customer enquires (via both email and telephone)
  • Their high level written and oral communications skills
  • Their strong problem resolution skills
  • Their ability to work cohesively within a team
  • Their understanding of working within legislative framework


  • Experience working with TRIM and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel and OneNote) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within a Federal Government environment is desirable but not mandatory. Candidates with private sector and local government experience will be considered.
  • An existing NPC (obtained within the last 12 months) is highly desirable.
