About the Organization:
Our Federal Government client is looking for Administrative Support Officers due to an influx of work within a friendly and collaborative team. An independent service and government agency of the Commonwealth, we are seeking candidates for a 6 month contract in a hybrid working environment in the Melbourne CBD office.


About the role:
The APS 3 Administrative Support Officer will undertake a range of administration activities supporting a group of legal stakeholders. Working in a team and guided by a team leader, you will provide the following services including Case Administration activities such as the creation and administration of case files, photocopying, filing, data entry, meeting administration and records management. In addition to this you will also coordinate care preparation documents, subpoena drafting, interpreter/translator bookings, travel bookings etc.

Your key skills:

  • Proficient level of English language, written and strong verbal communication
  • Ability to explain complex information and effectively manage challenging conversations
  • Demonstrate general financial literacy skills
  • Basic analytical skills with ability to interpret and analyze data
  • Demonstrate sound organization and coordination skills and apply attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills and able to follow a process
  • Demonstrated a high level of problem-solving abilities and skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities, tasks, and procedures
  • Manage time and organize your own workload against performance expectations
  • Work effectively as part of a team environment to achieve own and team objectives
  • Display personal resilience and an ability to deal with challenging situations

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Prior experience with legal administration, strong demonstrated knowledge of administrative support to legal stakeholders (i.e. a group of lawyers, prosecutors)
  • Extensive interpersonal skills, ability to engage stakeholders of various levels
  • High degree of professionalism, accuracy, and high standard of work
  • Collaborative approach to working in a team whilst also confident to work autonomously
  • Comfortable to work in the Melbourne CBD office as directed (Work Permit Provided)
  • Mandatory - Baseline security clearance (Current clearance or ability to obtain)
