Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced Administration Officers for an exciting opportunity with our Federal Government Client.

These assignments are conveniently located in the CBD with a Monday to Friday roster for a 12 month assignment with a possible extension.

Job Overview

The Administration Officer is responsible for collating all relevant papers for the Administrative Appeals Tribunal first review and all affected parties, while ensuring redaction requirements are met in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles and Department of Human Services Guidelines.
Working under the direction of senior staff, they make decisions within defined legislative and policy parameters. Their role may involve limited supervision of lower level employees as well as on-the-job training of members of a small work team.

Key duties
* Following established criteria, locate and identify relevant documentation within department databases
* Prepare and collate relevant papers, which includes the scanning, photocopying and filing of documents related to a customer appeal
* Action activities in positional mailboxes
* Provide administrative support to the team and/or work area
* Undertake straightforward quality assurance activities, ensuring adherence with relevant procedures and legislation
* On the job coaching and instruction to newer team members in the context of well-defined procedures and processes
* Maintain and use information in online databases including basic coding, catergorisation and classification or records, data entry and retrieval
* Resolve enquiries from stakeholders and draft straightforward correspondence for review by senior staff
* Contribute to continuous improvement with the provision of hearing papers to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal first review
* Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders to provide a conducive working environment
* Suggest ways to improve work practices

Key skills
* Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision and follow established procedures, protocols and processes
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve own and team work goals
* Demonstrate sound organisation and coordination skills whilst paying attention to detail
* Demonstrate experience in using sound judgement, analysis and problem solving skills
* Relevant computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office and proficient use of Adobe Acrobat Pro XII
