Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an Administration Officer on a contract until June 2021, with potential extension.

Position Overview

The Administration Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Strategy and Architecture section, rationalisation activities, performing coordination, management and secretariat function to support the IT executive and the architecture governance groups.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative governance and strategy implementation support within a small team
  • Coordinate governance functions e.g. Secretariat
  • Prepare material for the consideration by the governance boards to support agenda items
  • Manage team governance forum sites, mailboxes and calendars to ensure meetings are well-facilitated and documented, and key actions and decisions are shared
  • Support projects across the section
  • Provide high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide administrative support to the Director, including coordination of reporting, calendar and email management and general administrative duties as directed.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders;
  • Ability to meet deadlines for architecture and governance activities;
  • High level written communication skills, and demonstrated experience in developing complex correspondence;
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting committees, including the preparation of agendas, business papers, recording of proceedings, and the ability to initiate and follow up on action items;
  • Experience in supporting a governance framework to support the architecture practice;
  • Ability to support intranet presence ensuring information, tools for the architecture community are available, valued and maintained;
  • Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage time in order to priorities completing demands.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline clearance.
