Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a APS4 Administration Officers on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

About the Role:

Redress Group is responsible for policy development and implementation for the National redress Scheme for institutional Child Sexual Abuse (the scheme). Individuals who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse may submit an application for redress.

Due to the large number of applications, the Redress Group needs the services of Administration Officers to work in the Prepare and Advice Offer team who will be responsible for administration work, the transcribing of decisions into the IT system and the drafting of letters.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • conduct detailed research and analysis;
  • transcribing data clearly and accurately onto scheme systems
  • drafting letters on the approved template
  • other related/connect duties as required by the department

Skill and Experience

Skills Required:

  • communicate confidently through written and verbal communication and present messages in a clear, concise and articulate way;
  • demonstrate ability to self-manage in a complex, changing environment whilst in a diverse team with high workload;
  • ability to prioritise workloads/tasks and meet deadlines
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to demonstrate high emotional intelligence
  • contractors must be flexible and able to meet priorities.

Security Clearance Requirement

  • The successful candidates must complete and submit the relevant information requested by the department for a pre-employment check (including a police record check)
  • The successful candidates must provide a current Baseline (or higher if required
