Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Policy/Program Officer on a contract for 10 months with potential extension.

About the Role:

Looking for a policy / program officer. You will be a self-motivated, flexible and driven professional with good judgment, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated capacity to achieve results in a diverse and changeable environment. You will enjoy liaising and working professionally with a diverse range of people in a busy operational environment.

Ideal candidate:

  • Self-manage allocated work, resources and tasks - with demonstrated, strong organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results and thrive in a fast-paced, diverse and uncertain environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - build and maintain relationships, engage with internal and external stakeholders, respond to queries.
  • Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated ability to produce high quality written work for a variety of audiences, and the ability to contribute to briefings.
  • Support and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement activities - develop and implement appropriate procedures and work practices.

Must have baseline clearance.

About the role: - Contribute to planning and implementation of program activities.

  • Assist with stakeholder management in support of program activities, including record keeping of stakeholder liaison and correspondence.
  • Assist with monitoring and managing contracts, budgets, service agreements and financial administration for programs.
  • Provide support to senior staff of the Commission for international meetings and provide administrative support including preparation and collation of papers, arranging travel and accommodation, and broader logistical support.
  • Provide secretariat support to steering committees in support of governance arrangements.
  • Draft briefings, minutes and internal documents
