About the Organisation:
Chandler Macleod is partnering a major Federal Government body that leads the delivery of climate, water and weather services. There are multiple opportunities available in Melbourne CBD.

About the role:
The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Engaging in an 18-month contract, the purpose of the role is to manage payment processes and cycles.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time to meet weekly payment deadlines.
  • Communicate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders effectively and efficiently.
  • Process payments accurately and allocation of work and management of the Accounts Payable Team as and when required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement opportunities within the Accounts Payable and broader Finance team.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations and prepare financial reports

About you:
Ideally you will have relevant education and experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations, as well as:

  • Experienced and knowledgeable across SAP, SAP Concur & Microsoft Officer Suite Systems
  • Excellent data entry skills with the ability to process high volume of vendor invoices
  • Ability to work in a changing environment where priorities change from week to week
  • Proficient in excel and the ability to format data
  • Undertake AP administrative duties; printing invoices and manually reconciling payment proposals
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • The individual must able to work autonomously with limited supervision.
