We have teamed up with a company in the protective services industry who are looking for an experienced Accounts assistant to assist their team on site with a project for a six month contract.
You will be systems savvy with ample experience handling all things accounts related! You will also hold a high attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and exceptional communication skills.

This role would suit someone with a Blue collar construction industry background, who has worked with Accounts before and is looking for a challenging and rewarding 6 month role!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly wages/payroll processing for Projects and Stardane via Xero
  • Accounts Payable - processing of supplier/contractor invoices and schedule for monthly payment
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Creating and receipting of purchase orders
  • Lodging and payment of monthly Payroll Tax - SRO
  • Lodging and payment of monthly IAS for Projects and Stardane - ATO
  • Lodging and payment of quarterly BAS for Projects, Stardane and Passive Fire Services - ATO
  • Bookkeeping in Xero for Projects, Stardane, Passive and Family unit Trust
  • New employee contracts and other documents
  • Adding new employees to Xero
  • Projects monthly invoicing through Simpro
  • Import/Export from Firemate/Simpro to Xero accounting software
  • Organising any adhoc duties around the office
  • Arranging new vehicle purchases and finance
  • Arranging sale of current company vehicles
  • Maintenance and repairs of company vehicles including organizing of registration, insurance, etag, fuel cards, tracker
  • Organising/renewal of company insurances, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Workcover, Business package insurance, vehicle insurances.
  • Filing/shredding of confidential documents
  • Reconciliation of all company bank accounts including everyday accounts, savings accounts, Visa Credit Card accounts and AMEX accounts.

  • 2+ years experience working as an accounts assistant - preferably in the construction industry
  • Experience using Xero
  • Experience using Stardane or similar system preferred but not essential
  • Microsoft excel fluent
  • Ability to confidently engage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated Time management and attention to detail
