Our client:

Our client is a boutique accounting firm who provide quality advice on tax, accounting and business services to a portfolio of sophisticated clients across Australia and internationally.

Due to continued success and a dedicated client base they are seeking an addition to the high performing team based close to the city.

The primary role of Accountant - Business Services is to work closely with the Directors, Principals and Managers to provide proactive advice and support to your client base.

Responsibilities will include:

  • preparation of tax compliance for your allocated client base - income tax, financial statements, BAS, FBT
  • assistance with the preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements
  • assistance with preparation of tax effect accounting
  • undertake research and provide written advice
  • work with the offshore team in the preparation of compliance and other services
  • assist with financial modelling, cash flow planning and budgeting for clients in a diverse range of industries
  • maintain direct client contact and attend client meetings where required
  • interact and work collaboratively with external referral partners

About You:

The successful candidate will bring 1-5 years' experience in tax compliance within an Australian Public Practice.

You will possess a commitment to providing exceptional customer service across all channels, written, verbal phone and face to face. As a seasoned professional you will articulate benefits clearly and concisely and have an adaptive style depending on the audience.

A high attention to detail is required for this role together with the ability to think creatively and accomplish objectives within given timeframes.

The ability to work effectively under pressure, be proactive, highly organised and maintain a professional approach is key.

In addition you will bring:

  • A degree in Accounting and be studying towards or qualified CA/CPA
