Our client is one of the world's leading gold companies with a great team culture focusing on safety, inclusion, and diversity. Currently, an exciting six-month opportunity has come about in the role of an accountant on an intermediate level. This role demands an enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and has a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accounting entries i.e. Accruals, prepayments, reclamation
  • Control account reconciliations
  • Preparation of journal postings
  • Fixed asset creation and system maintenance
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • SAP HRSP testing
  • Assist with preparation of periodical and variance reports
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required

What we are looking for:
  • Accounting degree is highly preferred
  • Minimum two years' post qualification experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel
  • Ability to build effective interpersonal relationships at all levels across the business
  • Ability to work cohesively with a team
  • Well-developed critical thinking, analytical and planning skills
