About the Role
The Finance Team requires an experienced Accountant to assist with financial accounting and reporting, Treasury and Accounts Receivable tasks. This role works within the Corporate and Business Performance team and is responsible for processing timely and accurate financial information as well as assisting with financial accounting and reporting activities.



Main Duties:

  • Provide financial, tax and resource management and analytical advice, support and guidance to all stakeholders ensuring compliance with relevant government legislation and directives, accounting standards, and policies and procedures.
  • Support financial management activities including FBT, GST and WHT reporting in accordance with accounting standards, legislation, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to financial accounting activities including journals, reconciliation of balance sheet, appropriate accounts and sub-ledgers, and investigation of any anomalies.
  • Assisting with the accounts receivable functions including but not limited to daily invoicing, receipting, credit notes, maintenance of the accounts receivable inbox, debtor management.
  • Assisting with cash management duties as directed such as preparing documentation for payment runs, drawdowns, payment returns.
  • Assistance with addressing adhoc queries arising on request from Parliament.
  • Assist with the delivery of responsible tasks and provide support to the Finance Manager and Financial Accountant/Treasury Officer for other Finance related services.

About You

  • Systems Experience Including ERP Systems (SAP), Microsoft Office, Customer Service and Business Partnering Skills
  • Experience in the provision of financial reporting, compliance and policy
  • Experience in performing reconciliations to assist with month-end or financial reporting activities.
  • Experience in the management of the shared mailboxes or have the ability to learn quickly on the job.
  • Experience working in Accounts Receivable/Treasury functions or have sound understanding of the processes surrounding this.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The ability to work well within a team and collaborate with colleagues.
