Chandler Macleod are seeking an experienced Financial Accountants for x2 temporary assignments. These positions are conveniently located in Adelaide CBD and on a Monday to Friday roster.

Responsibilities:

State Gov client

  • Undertaking financial functions and preparing accurate and timely reports
  • Undertaking financial modelling, forecasting and analysis to inform decision making
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of systems that allow compliance with external standards are reporting requirements
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of financial polices and procedures

Mining client

  • Analysis of the operating/capex cos of capital projects
  • Working with Department Managers, Project Manager to understand the monthly project costs
  • Own the end of month process relating to the Capital Delivery Department and management reporting packs


Essential Knowledge and Experience Required:

State Gov client

  • Experience in accounting and/or financial management
  • Experience in providing advice to a range of clients and stakeholders
  • Experience in interpreting and applying Australian Accounting Standards and other accounting policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of financial and other accounting standards, structures and practices
  • An appropriate degree in accounting, finance, business or commerce

Mining client

  • Experience in Management Accounting/ business partnering
  • Experience in capital projects/ commercial environments
  • Proven skills with information systems, dashboards, reporting and monitoring performance
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Experience in identifying, driving and implementing system improvement projects
  • Have the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross functional team orientated environment at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience using SAP and business improvement tools would be desirable
  • Advance skills and experience in MS Excel
