We are currently seeking an Account Manager to work with one of our valued customers in the government sector. Working closely with the local leaders you will be directly responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 100 casual contractors across multiple locations in the Canberra area. Your daily duties will include the following;

  • Manage, support and develop Labour Hire personnel across multiple locations
  • Support Team Leaders in managing performance including attending, contributing and documenting coaching sessions to ensure contractors performance, work output and quality are in line with established performance standards.
  • Monitor and manage the attendance of contractors to ensure expectations are being met.
  • Have difficult conversations to address Behaviour, attendance and performance concerns
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records
  • Manage and monitor the health and wellbeing of contractors
  • Complete reporting requirements by set deadlines.


We are looking for a very customer centric, mature minded individual with solid leadership capability. You will be required to work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders yet at the same time be confident in exercising judgment and pro-active decision making across a range of issues including difficult conversations to address Behaviour and performance concerns. Adherence to strict process and a high level of corporate governance is an essential skill, as is the ability to act in an ethical and professional manner at all times.

You will demonstrate an ability to engage with a wide variety of people across all levels of the organisation and have excellent written and verbal communication. Excellent time management and organisational skills are also an essential component of the role therefore previous experience working within a government agency would be highly regarded.

Ability to travel to various locations each week is essential.
The role will see you working full time hours on a 3 month contract with possibility for extension.
