2x APS 4 Reportable Incidents Handling Officers (WA)

We are excited to have not one, but two roles available for Reportable Incidents Handling Officers in Perth CBD. If you want to work for an organisation with strong ethical values which supports Australians who identify with a disability, in a role where you are responsible for the outcomes of reported incidents, then this role is for you.

This role will involve strict process and procedures to be followed at all times to allow the appropriate handling of complaints and incidents to achieve the best outcomes for the individuals involved.

  • Provide administrative support to the implementation, operation and monitoring of the reportable incidents handling function, consistent with the company Quality and Safeguarding Framework and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013, and relevant Commonwealth legislative requirements.
  • Under direction, assist with the management of a caseload of incidents reported to the Commission by providers, including engaging with providers, where requested, on incidents (including deaths of people with disability).
  • Under direction, support the education and training function for providers in identifying incidents, preventing and effectively responding to abuse and neglect of people with disability and provide information about the Commission's reportable incidents handling function.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders to facilitate the work of the reportable incidents handling function, and the Commission more broadly.
  • Undertake other office administration tasks to support the WA team and Complaints Officers as required.
  • Behave in accordance with the values promoted by the Commission.
  • Training will be provided to align with organisational process and procedures.

Please note this role will at times expose you to sensitive information, and for that reason you will be subject to a clearance check, including a national police check as well as further security vetting.

Because of the nature of this work, you must be prepared that some of the information may also be at times confronting.

The standard business hours of 8:30am to 5pm (7 hours 30 minutes with a one-hour lunch break) or as otherwise advised.
