Procurement Specialist - Western Sydney
Procurement Specialist required to work with an Australian listed company who provide composite manufacturing technology locally and internationally and have a niche offering enabling them to supply advanced high performance solutions.
The duties for this role will include:
- Manage strategic sourcing predominantly logistics focused,
- Locate, select and manage a high-performance supply base for assigned commodities services,
- Obtain & analyse quotations and negotiate total cost elements for assigned portfolio.
- Tendering, analysing, negotiating and awarding of Purchase Orders and Contracts
- Managing supplier relationships to minimise commercial risk
Ideally you will possess strengths in the following areas:
- Degree or diploma preferred in any associated procurement field
- Interpersonal skills including collaboration with others, managing change, negotiating and presenting.
- Good experience in a production planning environment including scheduling, work order release, inventory management and purchase orders.
- A working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001
- Strong analytical skills
- 5 - 7 years experience in Procurement
