Reporting to the Customs Manager you will:
• Provide freight, brokerage, consultancy and distribution services to best suit clients’ needs;
• Classify and compile entries for miscellaneous importation;
• Check and lodge entries for the Operations Executives Team;
• Develop effective relationships with the internal and external client base.
Essential qualifications and skills include:
• Current Customs Broker Licence and 5 years of experience;
• Current AQIS Quarantine Brokers accreditation;
• Competence in use of EFT facilities, TAPIN and CARGO AUTOMATION;
• Familiarity with airfreight and sea freight clearance/delivery procedures;
• Broad knowledge of Customs clearance and Import/Export Branch functions;
• Familiarity with Millman an advantage, but not essential.
If you possess great customer service skills, have a valid drivers licence, and have freight forward experience accompanied by knowledge of the relevant legislations and authorities which impact on your area of responsibility, call me to discuss.
