The role of Regional Manager, Qld has full accountability and responsibility for line management of this Business Group. The Regional Manager role contributes to the strategic direction of the division and ensures that the business conforms to and achieves agreed objectives at all times in accordance with the companies Values

To plan, manage, control and direct the business units’ activities so that optimum profitability and growth is achieved through the effective use of the company assets and human resources.

This must be always acting with respect for the community and environment and fully striving to achieve zero harm

Key Accountabilities:
• Establish and implement sound marketing, commercial, operating, maintenance and financial policies, plans, key performance indicators and controls for the business units which are compatible with corporate guidelines and plans.
• Equip, organise and staff the business units to meet the general demands of the enterprise and those of specific clients.
• Maintain awareness of competitive and other activities of the business units which may have significant effects on its markets.
• Negotiate and reach agreement on a sound business plan for the business units with the General Manager and Director and subordinates (at least annually).
• Preparation, presentation and administration of revenue, expense and capital budgets for the business units in accordance with the business plan.
• The implementation of strategies and actions agreed in the business plan in a timely and sound manner so as to maximize expectations.
• Total financial integrity of the business and achievement of agreed financial targets

Experience:
Management and leadership in a complex site
Previous exposure to mining industry, in particular heavy haulage
Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching a diverse team
Strong track record in Safety leadership and performance

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent formal studies in management may be an advantage
