Business Development Manager - Mining & Energy

Workforce Services, the industrial specialists of Chandler Macleod, is a major provider of staffing, labour-hire and recruitment services to the manufacturing, logistics, trades, agricultural, hospitality and mining industries throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Due to significant growth throughout the region we have a newly created opportunity to appoint a talented, pro-active and motivated individual to grow and develop new and existing business opportunities throughout the Bowen Basin region.

To win this role, you will have a proven business development track record with existing networks, high level negotiation skills, and strategic and tactical sales and marketing expertise.

Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be able to confidently present as the face of our company and will utilise all aspects of your experience to engage with new, and current clients in identifying and developing new business opportunities. You will have strong experience in consultative selling and relationship management, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets and quotas. Your experience in mining dealing direct with site will enhance your early success in the role.

Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated and committed to providing a superior level of customer service to our clients, as well as possessing the ability to work autonomously and integrate into and working collaboratively with an already very high performing team.

To be successful, you will:

 Show initiative and passion to generate new business opportunities
 Enjoy working in close collaboration with team members in the pursuit of business and client solutions
 Have a strong understanding of industry in the southern Bowen Basin particularly mining
 Have proven ability to communicate with and persuade senior management stakeholders
 Be able to effectively build rapport and establish client needs
 Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
