Farm Manager

Chandler Macleod is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable Farm Manger for our client’s poultry farm in Baldivis. The position will be casual temporary with the potential for permanent opportunities.

Experience handling chickens is preferred but not essential. Applicants with any farming experience will be considered.

Although this role is not able to provide a live in arrangement; a housing assistance and fuel allowance package will be offered to the successful applicant.

Remuneration will be dependent on experience, but will be approximately $50,000 - $55,000 per year. A flexible rotation arrangement will be discussed with the successful applicant.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the below skills / qualities:

• A hand’s on approach to the management and daily running of the farm.
• Strong leadership / management skills.
• Ability to supervise / manage a minimum of 10 staff. (higher during peak periods)
• A knowledge and awareness of OH&S and safe working practices will be essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills will be required to communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels within the organisation.

The role will require you to be responsible for the below areas:

• Effective running of the chicken breeding programme.
• Implement, support and maintain all company policies.
• Complete weekly and monthly reports on key areas of production, costing, OH&S etc
