Service Manager - Underground

To help sustain this growth, we are currently accepting applications for the role of Service Coordinator, to further support the Branch Manager in achieving consistent profitability and manage the various mechanical staff and conveyor technicians on site.
Whilst there are a number of key Accountabilities in the position, the following highlights those most pertinent to success in this role:
• Develop, maintain and apply a suitably high level of product knowledge whilst being converse in technical and market developments
• Manage operating costs through proficient job scoping, planning and quoting
• Coaching, developing and mentoring the services team to ensure they are receiving ample support to be successful in their roles
• Assisting with the creating and submitting of tenders for key projects and major jobs
• Actively contributing to the company’s overall safety objective whilst educating others on the importance of OH&S
To be considered for this role, the minimum requirements are as follows:
• 5 years experience in Belt Splicing coupled with a Cert 3 in Polymer Processing (or the ability to obtain recognition)
• A trade qualified Fitter with exposure to the mining, conveyor and supporting services industries (highly desirable)
• A comprehensive knowledge of Fabric, Solid Woven, Ply & Steel Cord splicing techniques
• A proven work history leading crews and managing teams
• A competent understanding of underground and open cut mining practices
• The ability to plan and successfully deliver on key jobs
