This is a great opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to work with our Client based at a south of Perth refinery. This role supports the Clients operations in delivering safe, environmentally sound and cost effective management of the Bayer Process waste system.

Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that electrical equipment critical to performance is maintained and operated in an optimal way.
Responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical advice ,problem solving and support in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of refinery equipment in the operating centres
• Review and Audit existing equipment and maintenance performance to identify opportunities for improvement in equipment reliability and reduce risk.
• Fostering change and innovation to support continuous improvement in the areas of environment, safety, cost and productivity.
• Contributing to the achievement of an environmentally sound, safe and healthy workplace by monitoring and auditing the design, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems to comply with applicable standards and regulations.

The successful applicant will be a motivated and enthusiastic practitioner of electrical engineering, applying their expertise in operation and maintenance to deliver increased reliability and efficiency. Practical experience and excellent communication skills are critical to this role to enable facilitation of team based solutions.

To ensure your success in this role, you must possess a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, be self motivated with a desire to learn, and have a sound track record in pro-active problem solving. Previous experience (3+ years) in electrical engineering associated with refineries will be highly regarded.
